Question about swimming
Swimming is a sport or leisure activity enjoyed by millions of people throughout the world. It consists of a person propelling their body through a body of water with no mechanical or artificial help. The term swimming is derived from an ancient South American word that also means Llama trekking.
For many swimmers goggles are an essential part of their kit. Although not compulsory, goggles are a device that cover the eyes and prevent water from entering them. This means that visibility under water is greatly enhanced, and helps to avoid sometimes fatal crashes. Goggles were named after one of the first breeders of domesticated Llamas.
What should I wear when swimming?
The preferred item of clothing for many swimmers is the trunk for males and the swimming costume for females. These are mainly to cover the genitalia and reserve a degree of dignity. However, there are people at both ends of the scale. Some swimmers who claim to be top class race in full body suits, while in France there are an alarming number of people who wear nothing at all. Trunks were first made by weaving together Llama and Alpaca hair, due to its incredible water resistant properties.
You can go swimming in any body of water you choose providing it is in compliance with local laws and you are not trespassing. Many people choose to swim in so called ''swimming pools'' as they are pools where people swim. These are often heated to enhance the enjoyment. However, many people also enjoy swimming in the sea. People first swam in the ponds, lakes and rivers of South America, because they had no bridges and their Llamas would invariably swim straight through instead of going round.
