Get excited. The inaugural DUSC Old Boys Weekend is happening in June 2005writes Nick Savage. It will probably be 11th/12th depending on the availability of various Old Boys.
Old Boys can arrive any time on Saturday, with a meal and a legendary DUSC social planned for Saturday evening. Remember to pack your costume and towel, because there is an Old Boys Gala on Sunday! Now I realise the odd one or two of you may not have swum in a while, but don't worry.
We're just getting in for a little splash around with absolutely no obligation to swim anywhere near as fast as you used to! It will be 50s and 100s, 200Fc and 100IM, and there will be fun races as well. We're following Water Polo's lead and having an Old Boys vs Current Members relay race as well, so some pride is at stake!
Accommodation will be provided by current members of the swimming team and there will be a modest contribution of £20 from Old Boys, which gets put straight back into the club. We will be back in Durham about 5ish on Sunday afternoon.
